4.0/5 — I was in a shared double in Salish House (old totem). I had a good experience. The room was quite big, even with two of us in it and there was a lot of closet space. I was on a girls floor and the bathrooms were generally fine. The elevator did break a fair bit (7ish times) over the course of the year. Totem food was pretty meh, especially at the end, but food is food. Totem is super close to OC,

4.2/5 — I had a single room in old totem (Kwakiutl specifically) and despite being in one of the older buildings, I genuinely loved it. Tons of storage built into the room, which isn't the same for the new totem buildings. I had a double room in Shuswap, but it turned out to be the double single room with a broken wall in between, and so it was pleasant and I had my fair share of privacy. The washrooms were cleaned regularly every week and the people on my floor weren't nasty. Wifi is consistent enough for UBC s

3.2/5 — Totem is gorgeous and feels like a little neighborhood. The commonsblock and dining hall are pretty nice overall, but some of the actual residences are hit or miss (old totem was a mess).
