I didn’t put my dresser under the bed (stored other stuff under there though) and I felt like the top of the dresser gave me some extra space for books, decorations, putting generally anything down, etc. I kept my room pretty clean and didn’t see too many silverfish. I was satisfied with my room, albeit a little small. As a first year university student, though, it served my needs.
