3.6/5 — Ugh I LOVED my time in Vanier. Peak 1st year experience, how I met all of my friends. Vanier isn’t the residence for those looking for a luxury suite but it is perfect for people who are looking for a fun and social experience in their first year.

4.0/5 — I had a single dorm in Tweedsmuir. My wifi always worked! It wasn't the most spacious but neither are any of the other dorms. It had enough space for what I needed. The carpet was slightly gross but once cleaned it was fine. The paint on the walls is a nice colour, the common spaces were clean. I liked Vanier on the whole, it had a very *University* vibe, felt like I had stepped onto a film set, t

3.2/5 — Building: Robson, room layout: standard single. Room was small, but cozy and definitely felt like the university experience. I didn’t put my dresser under the bed (stored other stuff under there though) and I felt like the top of the dresser gave me some extra space for books, decorations, putting generally anything down, etc. I kept my room pretty clean and didn’t see too many silverfish. 2.6/5 — Building: Mawdsley room layout: standard single room. Not super large but enough room for all items, will get a large corner of space by moving the cabinet under the bed. noise level: generally quiet but will get loud if people talk in the corridor near your room. proximity to classes: awful if you need constant access to the southern part of campus (compsci bldg, forestry etc.) but great for

2.6/5 — Vanier is old. I was in a shared basement room. The doors rattled, and the laundry room had holes in the roof. However, the social life at Vanier was amazing. I'd sometimes visit orchard commons to see friends and it was so clinical. It was drab boring and depressing in orchard commons. Place Vanier NEVER had a boring day. It's like because its the 'worst' accomodation at UBC first year, people ma
